Marcus was born into an open-minded family and grew up just outside of Los Angeles to two parents who not only accepted but supported his LGBTQ+ status; however his boyfriend Ian was not as lucky. Growing up in an extremely religious conservative Christian family who lived in a small rural Californian town with only 3,000 residents; he was homeschooled till his junior year of high school and had very little support in his youth.
